Salfords & Sidlow Parish Council has 8 Councillors, all being re-elected in May 2023, and represent the parish on a voluntary basis. The Council is supported by the part-time Qualified Clerk, Claire Minter who works every week day morning either from home or from the Parish Council office based at Salfords Village Hall.

Jim has been a member of Salfords & Sidlow Parish Council since 1991 and is the vice chairman.
He chairs the monthly council surgeries where the public, Borough and County Councillors and police are always welcome. He is the parish council's representative for the Surrey Association of Local Councils and Representative on the Redhill Aerodrome Consultative Committee.

Bob originally was co-opted onto the Parish Council in February 2022 and became an elected member in May 2023.
Bob moved to the Sidlow village in 1986 having purchased a property in need of total renovation. He married his wife, Lucy, in 1989 and they also started their property maintenance business in the same year where they traded from home. Bob has two grown up children who have now moved out but living locally. Bob originally assisted the Parish in the early days with tree planting and he loves life in the village, taking an active interest in events and supporting them wherever possible.

Caroline was originally co-opted onto the Council in November 2012 and is now an elected member.
She has lived in Salfords for 21 years with her husband and her son who is now living in Bristol. Caroline recently retired as an Office/Service Manager for a Mechanical Services Company in Reigate. She has also recently stepped down as Director of the Reigate Business Guild where she was part of the team that arranged the Reigate Christmas Fayre. Caroline enjoys the opportunity to contribute to Salfords becoming a better community for the future of all residents.

Wayne, who is the Chairman, was originally elected onto the Council on 7 May 2015.
He moved to Salfords in 2010 following retirement from a career in the Fire Service. He lives in Axes Lane with his wife Jan and runs a small cabinet making business. He has three grown up adopted sons. He became a councillor to be more involved with the local community. He is a firm supporter of the “Green Belt” and hopes to protect it from inappropriate and unnecessary development.

Karen was co-opted onto the Parish Council in December 2021 and became an elected member in May 2023. . Karen has lived in Salfords for 12 years but now having recently retired from the City, where she worked as a Chartered Accountant, she would like to become more involved with her local community.
Karen is enthusiastic about the local environment and wants to ensure local transport and housing needs for all are considered.

Stephen was originally a Parish Councillor in the mid 1980’s and returned as an elected member in May 2019. He was re-elected in May 2023.
He has lived in Salfords since 1972 with Lyne and has two grown-up daughters plus grandchildren. Stephen, over the years has been involved in many village activities including School Governors, Parent Teacher Association, local am-dram & community aid groups. Stephen, since having neuro-surgery in 2011, has developed a strong interest in Accessibility issues and public transport.
